Social Media Marketing

Hi! I'm Mira, and I'm taking this class as part of the courses to get know more about marketing. As an Econ major, this class will help me understand more about economics through Social Media Marketing. Hopefully by the end of this quarter, I will have learnt more about Social Media and Marketing. As part of the younger generation who grew up online, I see a lot of ads or sponsorships through social media and its social media "celebrities," so I want to learn more about Social Media Marketing. I see this marketing in action everyday but I do not yet understand it. Therefore, I want to learn more about it and the ways it works. By the end of the class, I want to be able to potentially apply the tactics of Social Media Marketing or at least be able to recognize them when they are applied on me through Social Media. When I graduate and get a job, I want to be able to have the chance to apply what I learned in this class in real life.
